Dive into the world of fresh mozzarella making, an art that goes back over 600 years. Learn the method that has remained relatively unchanged over the years. You will learn all the steps necessary to make your own creamy and delicious fresh mozzarella. Completion of this class will give you the skills to choose the proper curd, use the correct water temperatures and brine, apply proper techniques of pulling and stretching, forming and creating mouth watering mozzarella. You get to sample your fresh mozzarella as soon as it’s made and you get to take it home!

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).
Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, especially if you’re part of a large group.
LECOB's very own Chef Anthony has 20+ years experience in teaching mozzarella cheese making. He also taught cooking classes to people in the community and trained volunteers in the kitchen throughout his career. He has extensive experience in food management, food preparation, safe handling procedures, meal planning, banquet and catering. He owned and operated a pasta and pork store and was a head chef and catering manager for multiple operations.
