Prior to that, as Lead Oceanographer at WorleyParsons, in Western Australia, she led several projects to predict the impacts of dredging operations on temperate and tropical primary producer habitat. She developed monitoring and management programs for coastal developments, including ports, pipelines, and aquaculture operations. She also worked with the hydrodynamic modeling team to integrate light modeling into the impact prediction process. Alison has also worked in academia where she participated in numerous research projects involving the ecology of seagrass ecosystem including habitat mapping and ecological assessments of estuarine and tropical seagrass ecosystems under intense eutrophication pressure.”
