Friends of the Bay, an environmental conservation and advocacy organization located in Oyster Bay, will hold its first Speaker Series event of the year, “Winter Ducks of Oyster Bay - A Duck Talk and Walk” with Assistant Director Christine Suter on Saturday, February 25 beginning at 10 am. (Rain date: February 26.)
Christine Suter holds an M.A. in Marine Conservation and Policy from the School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences at Stony Brook University and is a lifelong birder and environmental advocate.
The presentation will commence with a lecture at Friends of the Bay’s office (111 South Street, Suite 2, Oyster Bay) followed by a guided duck walk along Beekman Beach and West Shore Road. Binoculars will be provided by the Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary and Audubon Center.
