Historical Preservation Internship - Oyster Bay Main Street Association

Duties and Responsibilities
The Historical Preservation Intern will work closely with the Executive Director, overseeing various preservation initiatives, including landmark designations, defining and funding the scope of building renovations, and completing historic structure reports and envelope reports. This will offer a comprehensive understanding of historical preservation and its importance in safeguarding our heritage for the future.

The internship provides a platform for candidates to contribute to the preservation of Oyster Bay's historical landmarks. It's an invaluable opportunity for aspiring preservationists to learn from experienced professionals and make a lasting impact on the community's historical legacy.

Requirements and Qualifications
All candidates must be well-organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, possess strong communication skills and be able to multi-task.

Schedule Duration
The schedule is flexible but candidates must be able to commit to at least ten hours per week.

Compensation
$1,800, based on a 12-week duration with a commitment of 10 hours per week. Degree credit can be arranged.
